Visitor Comments (taken from the lodge Visitors Book)
Went out to various places throughout the week (Clovelly, Atlantic Shopping Centre, Bideford, Croyde Bay, Barnstaple, Woolacombe, Ilfracombe and Bude) but it was always nice to come back to a cosy lodge in the evenings to relax in the peace and quiet of the surroundings of the site. Thanks Andy

Had a very rainy start to the week, but we had the Olympics to watch - Go Team GB! We had plenty of room in the lodge for our second visit. We'll be back - Thanks Andy!

First visit and probably not the last. A great lodge and stunning views. Kept ourselves really busy and clocked up a good few miles. Weather was kind. Kids really enjoyed having their own bedroom and shower!

Thank you Andy for a great week, the lodge was lovely and the views beautiful. We visited many places including Saunton Sands, Woolacombe, Lynton & Lynmouth, Clovelly, Westwood Ho and Ilfracombe. The weather was kind with only one day of rain. We really enjoyed spotting the wildlife from the balcony, from birds of prey, squirrels, pheasants and the deer that we saw just the other side of the pool. Can't wait for our next visit. Thanks once again.

Everything was so clean and tidy so we've left it just the same way. What a great place Andy, you've thought of everything :-) ..... we felt so comfy here for our stay, weather was blowing a gale at times, but it was very cosy inside. We went to the Portsmouth Arms (tick), did the Barnstaple Murder Mystery Trail (tick) and went to Atlantis (tick). We will recommend your lodge highly; can't wait to return in August. See you soon, thank you very much.

Once again, a brilliant holiday at the lodge. Thanks very much Andy!! The lodge was perfect, we've done so much over the past week and we all had an amazing time. Can't wait to visit again one day!

The lodge and directions are typical Andy - thoughtful, caring and well organised. We had a fantastic weekend - the weather was 26 degrees - wall to wall sunshine from start to finish. Woolacombe Beach is a must! Saunton Sands is also worth a visit and Croyde Bay (worth doing those on the same day if you can). An evening meal in the Portsmouth Arms was a perfect end to the day - they do a variety of meals. Altogether - a great stay .... just what we needed.

Before I mention our stay, I would like to say how fantastic the lodge is. The attention to detail is brilliant, everything from postcards to picnic hampers and the telescopes. A lot of care and attention has gone in to making this place a real luxury. The area is lovely, scenic and so quiet; it' just what we needed.
We will definitely be coming again and already cannot wait. Thanks for introducing us to your lovely lodge.

Andy, what a lovely lodge. We had the most wonderful few days. We are leaving today feeling really relaxed and can't wait to come back. We had rain, snow, gale winds and lovely sunshine. The views from the balcony were always beautiful, whatever the weather.

Andy, we have had a fabulous mini-break at the lodge and can't wait to come back. It's a beautiful property, in a beautiful spot, in easy reach of lots of things to do and see (we crammed in a lovely meal at the Portsmouth Arms, a sunny day at Woolacombe Beach and Arlington Cour. Off to RHS Gardens at Rosemoor in the morning (on the way home)). You've thought of everything (including hair straighteners in case anyone forgets theirs) and we won't hesitate to recommend the place to family and friends. Thank you so much for a lovely weekend.

We had a great stay - just wasn't long enough. Lodge = 10 out of 10! This was our pre-wedding get-away - to get away from the last minute stress and arrangements. Fantastic to get away from everything - lovely and relaxing. Thank you Andy, you have done a fantastic job - as organised as ever!

Had a wonderful few days of peace. Saw the New Year in watching Poirot, drinking Perry from Herefordshire - my idea of serious bliss! Thanks Andy for your hospitality and here's to a great 2012!

Andy - we have had an amazing holiday, the lodge is fantastic - beautiful inside with amazing views outside. As you know we have had the most amazing weather which has made our holiday perfect (kept a 5 day diary of places visited in the visitors book, recommending lots of places of interest and restaurants etc...).... Can't wait or our next visit. Many thanks Andy, great place! We loved it!
